Jessica Chastain

Jessica Chastain is an American film and actress who is renowned as a strong-willed woman in films that feature feminist themes. Two Oscars have been handed out to her and she's had a win at the Golden Globe Award. She was born in California and grew up in the US and began to develop an appreciation in acting as she watched the stage play Joseph and the Amazing Tecnhicolor Dreamcoat. Her first stage appearance was in a production of "Romeo and Juliet" as well as her film debut in her role in the drama film "Jolene". Her roles in movies including Take Shelter', "The Help", Mama', and "Interstellar", she gained attention. The role she played as a character in Zero Dark Thirty won her the Golden Globe Award under the category of Best Actress'. The roles she has been most well-known for feature strong, flawed women. Many of them are considered feminist. Outspoken and vocal feminist, she has been known to be a proponent of equality in pay.
