Awkwafina

Awkwafina was an American performer and actor who made her name with clever raps that tackled gender and ethnic identities from a a boldly comic perspective. Then she branched out into Hollywood. Nora Lum is the daughter of Chinese as well as Korean parents who hail from Forest Hills Queens. The trumpet was her first instrument. Also, she received classical and jazz training later becoming a hip-hop teenager. In college, she studied the field of women's studies and journalism. Then, she even had some time learning Mandarin during her time in Beijing. However, it wasn't until she graduated that she turned her attention towards music. In 2012 her track My Vag a response to Mickey Avalon's My Dick found viral success across the Internet before settling on her debut album Yellow Ranger in 2014. The album also contained viral hits like body-positive Queef and winking tour of her home NYC Bitche$1. The track that was published is directly linked to the album Awkwafinas NYC, her guide to travel in 2015. She opted to pursue a career as an actor after completing her first two ventures as a musician and author. Her film credits include films including Neighbors 2 Storks, and Bad Rap. In 2018, she landed a series of notable roles including Dude Ocean 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. In June she dropped her debut EP "In Fina We Trust".
